ADVANCED SECURITY MEASURES

Chiffry employs encryption methods aligned with BSI guidelines, utilizing the latest end-to-end encryption with 256-bit AES in GCM mode. Messages and calls are encrypted on the sender’s device and decrypted only on the recipient’s device. The encryption key is renewed prior to each message or call and transmitted securely using elliptic curve cryptography (512-bit ECDH) following the mailbox principle. Additionally, all messages are signed with 512-bit ECDSA signatures, ensuring forgery-proof integrity. User identity verification is maintained via encryption certificates. For comparison, typical online banking often employs RSA encryption ranging from 2,048 to 4,096 bits; the 512-bit EC encryption used by Chiffry offers a comparable security level equivalent to approximately 15,500-bit RSA encryption, significantly increasing difficulty for potential attackers (Sources: BSI TR-02102-1, TR-03111).

SECURE DATA TRANSMISSION

Data privacy is central to Chiffry’s architecture. Communication data is transmitted through Chiffry’s secure servers housed in envia TEL’s high-performance data center—one of Germany’s most secure facilities, certified under ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards. Only telephone numbers and public keys are stored during registration. Messages are kept on the server only in encrypted form until successfully delivered and are then deleted either upon delivery or after 21 days. End-to-end encryption ensures that neither Chiffry staff nor third parties can access message content, as decryption keys remain solely on the sender’s and receiver’s devices.
